Did you know that humans spend a good part of their lives sleeping? Ideally, humans need to sleep for at least 8 hours a day. That means that we spend around 1/3 of our lives in the bedroom!

If that’s the case, then it really is a good idea to make the bedroom look and feel great. Comfort is of utmost priority in building a bedroom, keeping in mind that you will be spending a lot of time in there.

Just like many of us, Nelo Coloma admires hotel rooms and wishes that he could have a room that looks like one. He said that he is always amazed of hotel rooms. So, it became one of his goals to have a room that looks like it is a hotel room, even if it won’t look as perfect.

Before the Transformation

Nelo admits that though he dreams of having a better-looking room, he did not really mind his own simple room. He simply accepts any curtain that his mom would put to block out the sun in his room, not thinking much about the way it would look in his room.

The floor had no tiles; only a long rug is put for him to step on before going to bed. Walls are bare and didn’t have paint. While the room is functional, it was far from his dream room.

During the Transformation

The quarantine period gave him a lot of time to work on his bedroom. He thought about going the DIY route but realized that painting the room is actually a difficult task. So, he enlisted the help of two carpenters to transform the room.

Dark greyish blue paint is used on most of the walls. However, white is used on the side where the window is located. Nelo was also able to obtain some additional furniture pieces, beddings, a carpet, and various accents that would perfectly complement the room.

After the Transformation

Amazingly, the transformation worked so well that the bedroom really looks like a hotel room now! Aside from the new flat-screen TV and the accent wall clock, Nelo also placed accent lights in the room. This enabled him to upgrade the look without breaking the bank…

What do you think of this transformation?
