An architect couple from Manila who fell in love with La Union, the surfing capital of northern Philippines, found a way to build a home from container vans. Their little project was such a success that they added more little homes to the first one, later creating a multi-story home that they opened as hostel.
Both architects, Buji and Nikki Libarnes started working on their container van project after losing the apartment they had lived in for 8 years because the owner decided to renovate. They soon found a property for sale.
The container van at the site gave them the best idea of creating a home from that piece.
